Rotary Club of Fort de France West, Martinique

March 10 - After our tour of the University of the Antilles and Guyana's Martinique campus arrange by the club, we attended the luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of Fort de France West. The club meets at the Hotel/Restaurant Valmeniere, which coincidentally houses the U.S. Consulate on Martinique.

Calling the food at these Martinique club meetings “lunch” does not really do justice to the two and half hour, five course meal that is presented, along with excellent Martinique rum and French wines.

This club was very interested in the team and asked a lot of questions of the three team members who were able to be present.

Heidi conducted the banner exchange with Club President Jean Max Vitulin.

Rotarian Alex, one of the clubs elders explained the meaning of the graphics on the F de F West banner.

Our special thanks to President Elect Georges-Louis Charbentier-Tity and Rotarian Eddie Kichenama for their assistance and translations.
