Event Coordinator Selected for Global Study Exchange

EVENT COORDINATOR SELECTED FOR GLOBAL STUDY EXCHANGE

Eugene, Ore. -- Shelly Kane, event sales coordinator at the CENTER for Meeting & Learning at Lane Community College, is one of four individuals chosen for The Rotary Foundation Group Study Exchange program. The GSE is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity that provides a travel grant from The Rotary Foundation for teams of young professionals to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries.

Ms Kane will visit the Caribbean countries of Barbados, Dominica, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent, from Feb. 28 - March 28, 2010. Led by Rick Francona of the Port Orford Rotary Club, Ms Kane and team are charged with observing and exchanging ideas on the practice of vocations abroad, experiencing the culture and institutions of each country and developing personal and professional relationships. Ms Kane is sponsored by the Springfield Rotary Club.
